The Law of Attraction Is Not Magic It Is Brain Science

The Law of Attraction – Is it a magical power or the world’s biggest scam? Thousands of books have been published on this topic: The Secret, The Power of Positive Thinking, Think and Grow Rich. Big celebrities promote it, and teaching it has become people’s full-time career. Now, either all these people are telling the truth, or this is a modern-day superstition and blind belief that has developed a cult following. Using this entire idea, a multi-million dollar industry has been built where people are being fooled and billions of dollars are being made by selling dreams to people, turning it into a full-fledged business.
To be honest about the Law of Attraction, we never believed in this idea of getting something free from the universe. But when we understood the science behind it, did deep research on it, and applied it in our own lives, things became much clearer. So that you can understand it more deeply,
We’re dividing this content into three parts: First is The Myth, Second is The Science, Third is The Reality. Third part is the most important, where we’ve shared a three-step secret that will be very useful to you. Along with this, we’ll also share our own personal final opinion about the Law of Attraction – what we ourselves think about it.
What the Law of Attraction really Is ?
Part One: The Myth

The Law of Attraction, by definition, states: “The Law of Attraction is a universal principle that states you will attract into your life whatever you focus on.” This means it’s a universal principle that says you will attract into your life whatever you focus on. Which means if you keep visualizing your dream or goal in your mind, one day that dream will come true. If you think about money, you’ll become rich. If you think about good health, you’ll become fit. You keep chanting affirmations every day, and whatever you say will come true.
Now honestly, for any practical and rational thinking person like us, believing this is very difficult. You must have heard Shah Rukh Khan, a famous Indian actor, say: “If you want something with all your heart, the entire universe conspires to help you get it.” This is the Law of Attraction – creating your entire world with your thoughts. This has been given the name Law of Attraction today, but its roots are very old.

In Buddhism, we’re taught how our mind is a powerful tool that creates our entire reality. If we control our mind, we’ve controlled our life.
In Hinduism, we’re taught how our thoughts and intentions form our destiny. The Upanishads say “Tat tvam asi” – become one with this universe, then ask for whatever you want from this universe, and you’ll get everything.

Lao Tzu, who laid the foundation of Taoism, says: “Watch your thoughts; they become words. Watch your words; they become actions. Watch your actions; they become habits. Watch your habits; they become character. Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.“
The foundation of the Law of Attraction was laid by Hermes Trismegistus, who shared seven universal principles, one of which was the Principle of Mentalism, which said “The All is Mind” – this entire universe is a mental creation. From this principle came the foundational idea that our mind can influence the reality of our life, and the first wave of the Law of Attraction started here in the 19th century.
From here began a New Thought movement where people promoted these ancient ideas. Phineas Quimby, Ralph Waldo Emerson, and William Walker Atkinson believed that the mind has healing powers and that with a positive mental state, we can completely change our lives.
Phineas Quimby said that the root of every disease is in a person’s mind – if they correct their mind, every disease can be cured. Ralph Waldo Emerson began explaining the infinite potential of the mind. He introduced the power of manifestation to the world. And William Walker Atkinson was the first person to use the term “Law of Attraction.” He first mentioned it in his 1906 book “Thought Vibration: The Law of Attraction in the Thought World,” where he taught how our thoughts attract like energies.
By the 20th century, this idea became even more popular, especially Napoleon Hill’s book “Think and Grow Rich” made it even more mainstream. He explained the concept of desire – how what you want from your heart, what your deep desire is, definitely becomes reality one day. “Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.” Similarly, Norman Vincent Peale’s “The Power of Positive Thinking” and Joseph Murphy’s “The Power of Your Subconscious Mind” talked about how a positive mental attitude can bring you all the success and happiness in the world.
The story didn’t stop there. In the 21st century, Rhonda Byrne released a book in 2006 called “The Secret,” and with this book, the Law of Attraction became famous worldwide – a revolution came. This book was so successful that this wave of Law of Attraction reached every corner of the world. It was discussed worldwide. Bob Proctor started teaching it to everyone. Oprah Winfrey launched her show where she had every celebrity promote this idea.
Now what happened was that when something becomes so popular, its meaning gets lost, and instead of positive effects, negative effects start appearing. Like during mid-2000s,
The Oprah Winfrey Show’s studio received a letter from Kim Tinkham, who wrote that she was so influenced by this show and The Secret book that she stopped taking medical treatment for her breast cancer.
She claimed she would be cancer-free by 2008.
She had complete faith in herself – she was attracting it, manifesting it, and the universe would listen to her. But what happened? In 2010, Kim died of cancer.
But all this wouldn’t have happened if Kim had understood the science behind it instead of blindly trusting it. It’s not necessary that if some big and famous person says something, it’s right, and you should start following it without thinking.
This is the Law of Attraction that you’re being taught and sold. But to use the Law of Attraction properly, you need to understand how it works.
Part Two: The Science

It was 1954. According to the conventional wisdom of that time, running 1 mile in less than 4 minutes was impossible. Scientists had even said that running so fast was beyond human body capacity – it was impossible. Pushing more than this would risk severe injury.
And just a few days later, on May 5th, Roger Bannister completed 1 mile in 3 minutes 59 seconds, and everyone was shocked – how was this possible? And 6 weeks later, an Australian athlete completed this target in 3 minutes and 58 seconds.

Do you know how many people have crossed this four-minute barrier from 1954 till now, which was impossible to do? 1,663 people, including some high school students.
Roger Bannister, who first broke this record, later became a neuroscientist. He explained that to break this record, he made his mind stronger than his body. This four-minute target was in his mind. He would visualize this race day and night. He would think about taking every step. He did all this and showed it because he had already won this race in his mind more than a thousand times.
Now you can call this the Law of Attraction, but in science, it’s called neuroplasticity. When you start deeply believing in something, your brain’s neural pathways start becoming stronger. What seems impossible to the world at one time becomes practically possible in your mind.
Your mind’s connections become so strong that the most important thing happens – your mind, your body, and you together can give your absolute best to that one thing, making getting results almost guaranteed.
Using this same principle, Edmund Hillary climbed Mount Everest for the first time, Sachin made 100 centuries, Elon Musk built his entire empire. All this became possible because of neuroplasticity.
Walt Disney, who created Disney, when he was on his deathbed waiting for death, a reporter came to meet him and said, “Sir, Disney’s first theme park is about to be built. How do you feel knowing you’ll never see it?” Walt Disney replied, “You probably don’t understand. If I hadn’t seen it first, you would never have been able to see it.”
In 1996, a related study was also conducted at the University of Chicago, where Dr. Judd Blaslotto divided participants into three groups to perform basketball free throws. The first group was given one hour of practice time where they could practice free throws with a real ball. The second group was only asked to visualize – just imagine that they were throwing the ball in the right place. The third group had to do nothing.

When this experiment was completed, the first group, which had practiced free throws in real time, showed 24% improvement. The third group showed 0% improvement. While the second group, which had only practiced free throws in their minds, showed 23% improvement.
Many such researches have been conducted where it has been proven that our brain doesn’t know the difference between imagination and reality. In another research, participants were given the task of doing five-finger piano exercises in their imagination. Scientists saw that just by imagining, similar activity was showing in their brains that would show when practicing in real time.
The Law of Attraction works on this same principle. When you visualize a particular task in your mind, think about it, imagine it, your performance increases. And when performance increases, better results come. This is the same reason Albert Einstein said that “Imagination is greater than knowledge.”
So now you understand that the Law of Attraction is nothing but your brain’s neuroplasticity ability. Today it’s being sold as a magical power using heavy words like universe, manifestation, energies, vibrations. But actually, it’s not magic but hardcore science.
Therefore, if you believe us, understand that with the Law of Attraction, you don’t directly attract results but make yourself capable of achieving those results. And this is not magic or power, but if you look at it practically, understand it as a formula made by combining attraction and action – meaning Law of Attraction plus Law of Action.
Part Three: The Reality

If you want to use the Law of Attraction and Law of Action together to scientifically achieve your goals or dreams through neuroplasticity, you’ll have to follow these three steps:
1. Instill Belief

First of all, you cannot treat cancer using the Law of Attraction, nor can you go to Mars, nor can you get Superman-like strength. I hope you know these common things too.
But whatever change you’re thinking of making or whatever you’re thinking of achieving, you must have complete belief that you can achieve that thing. Meaning achieving that thing should be practically possible, no matter how big that dream is, but it should be practically possible for you to achieve.
For example, if you want a sports car like a Lamborghini, and your current financial situation doesn’t support it, then instead of directly targeting a Lamborghini, first set a goal that’s practically achievable for you. Like first earning a certain amount of money, then upgrading your lifestyle step by step.
After setting a real, practical, and believable goal, you need to take the next step.
2. Feed Your Brain

Bruce Lee wrote himself a letter and always kept it with him. It read: “My greatest and only goal: I, Bruce Lee, will be the first highest paid Oriental superstar in the United States. In return, I will give the most incredible performances and give my best acting.”
When Ranveer Singh wanted to become an actor at age 21, he put up a poster in his bedroom. It was a poster of Yash Raj Films’ DDLJ, but with his face instead of Shah Rukh Khan’s. He would look at that photo every day, reminding himself of his goal, his dream – what he wanted to become. And 3 years later, he got his first movie from YRF Studios as a lead actor.
Jim Carrey wrote himself a check for $10 million and kept it in his pocket, which he would look at every day.
When you imagine your goal this way, think about it, visualize it, scientifically your brain has no other option. You start seeing your goal everywhere. Your mind gives you new ideas to achieve it that never came to your mind before. Your brain becomes so crystal clear that it knows what it wants, and it finds the ways to get it itself.
For example, if you want to get fit and want a good healthy body, keep feeding yourself with related information and visuals. Read books, listen to podcasts, read posts on Reddit. Feed your brain so it thinks in that direction.
3. Take Supportive Actions

And lastly, whatever you’ve thought, whatever you’ve visualized, you’ll have to take actions in support of it. Otherwise, nothing will happen.
As we said before, the Law of Attraction won’t bring you results. It will make you capable of bringing results. But actually, how will results come? From your actions. Without action, even the Law of Attraction cannot change anything.
No matter how much you think about a healthy, fit body, six-pack abs, bigger biceps, do affirmations, visualization, manifestation, put photos of your ideal physique everywhere and look at them daily – nothing will happen as long as attraction is without action.
And action is hidden within attraction. Remember this: your dreams will be fulfilled not just by the Law of Attraction but by action.
Personally, we believe that to take any action, there should first be attraction for that goal or dream, because attraction will make you take actions in the right direction. But that attraction will change from thought to reality only when there are actions. These two are linked together.
